Last Saturday Cristal Marbella celebrated its XXI Edition in the South Course and, as it could not be otherwise, the participation was a success. The participants enjoyed a splendid day, with unbeatable agronomic conditions, a pace of play lower than 4:15 hrs and a great final cocktail.

This past weekend, our champions traveled to Cádiz for the dispute of the Andalusian Championship Infantil and Alevín (Villanueva Golf Resort) and Benjamín (Campano Golf).

The 7 children were guided and accompanied by the Director of our School, Cástor Gómez, who also had the support of several parents. Many thanks to all, especially Antonio Rodríguez (coordinating father) and the super photographer Antonio Morales.

As usual, the School of Guadalmina ended in the top in almost all categories: victory of Samuel Love in Benjamin and a second position Ana Rodríguez Rodríguez. But most important were the faces full of smiles from our children, including Samuel's, although he wanted to hide it in the photo.

PS: the sporting activity does not stop, today started the Norberto Goizueta with wide representation, this Friday the XXIII Open of Paco and on Sunday, the Summer Four Seasons.

Our genial Lucía Morales is the new CHAMPION OF ANDALUSIA (PITCH AND PUTT - UNDER 16).

After the first day she placed herself solo leader thanks to a solid 2 under par (52 strokes). And on the second day, despite being behind Alejandra Fernández for most of the day, she finished with a birdie on the 18th and snatched the victory, after Alejandra committed a painful 8.

Congratulations Lucía, we are very proud of you.

Great perfomance of the rest of our players, with Top 10 for Samuel Love (who, in addition, was 3rd in the Spanish Championship days ago), Carlos Mendoza, Daniel de la Serna and Samuel Rodríguez.

Also congratulate Laura Gómez for premiering her international track record, winning a few days ago at the Montauban Ladies Open, followed by a 2nd place at the Belfius Ladies Open. With this, she is ranked 3rd in the Order of Merit of the Let Access Series. Remember that the Top 5 at the end of the year, gets the Ladies European Tour card.

Just three months after his victory in Las Pinaillas in the Spanish Championship Under 18, the player of Real Club de Golf Guadalmina has won the coveted Spanish Absolute Championship, thanks to rounds of 71-71-73-71.

The fourth day was a beautiful battle between two future stars of Spanish golf, the Catalan David Puig and Álvaro. Mueller-Baumgart started from the lead along with Ignacio Montero, who said goodbye to the triumph with an 8 on the meridian of the round.

Álvaro and David faced the last 9 holes tied (EVEN) and a great birdie in the last hole gave the victory to the andalusian.

It is the 3rd time in the last 4 years that a player of Real Club de Golf Guadalmina has won the title. Hidalgo 2016 & 2019, Mueller-Baumgart 2019. Awesome.

Our most sincere congratulations, Álvaro, you have made us enjoy so much.

Please find attached complete information about the Summer Camp 2019, which will start on Monday, July 1st.

We would like to remind you that during this month of May we will proceed to close the courses for hollow tyning works. We will treat greens, tees and some fairways.

In order for these maintenance works to have the expected results, the courses will remain closed during treatment week as follows:

From 6th to 12th we will close the North Course and from 20th to 26th, the South Course. During this first week we will also work on the main putting green and the chipping green, so we kindly ask you to practice in the new area.

During these two weeks, no competitions will be held.

The entertainment will consist of a flamenco show by the hand of one of the best flamenco groups of the area (“Solo Flamenco”): three dancers, a cantaor, & guitarist will delight us with their art. In addition Frankie B will provide his style of music to get us all dancing.

The Barbecue menu is as you would expect with a selection of many dishes including our Club’s well known Paella and a variety of Meats.
 

The cost per person is 40 €, which includes a half bottle of wine, to be paid at the table on the night.
