The ONE YEAR TO GO week has been very special with:

Monday 21st the longest swing with 365 children and some ambassadors hitting a ball of fish food off the pier in Puerto Banus – a lifetime memory for the children with the Captain SUZANN PETTERSEN arriving by helicopter and high fiving each and every child.

Tuesday 22nd the Organisers and 40 ambassador had a lunch with the Captain Suzann in San Pedro – this was a great success and an opportunity to show Suzann how enthuastic all her ambassadors are about the event

Thursday 24th with exactly 365 days to go to know the winning team of the 2023 Solheim Cup, which we all hope will be the team led by Suzann Pettersen, the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina gathered its members to participate in the OYTG Putting Green Tournament.

More than thirty couples registered, in the modality of two ball best “putting” ball and enjoyed an extraordinary day of joy and fun.

At the end of the competition, they could taste Spanish paella, prepared by the catering team of the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina and a "typical Spanish sangria", which delighted all participants ... of course the sudden death playoff needed a little more time.

Our Solheim Cup Ambassador Rosaleen Cunningham, together with Lorena Ricondo, arranged an incomparable event, which will be remembered as one of the most entertaining days of the Club, well supported by both the Ladies and Gentlmen Section.

We were delighted to have Kaisa Hayrynen our member and the Ambassador for Aloha Golf Club and Christine Perring our member and Ambassador for El Paraiso Golf Club join in the fun.

We must thank the Caddy Master team, led by José Hernandez Reina, for all the work they did in the preparation, down to the smallest detail.

Winners of the event were the couple formed by Carmen Ortega Corbacho and Luis García Bermejo with 27 points, followed closely by Ninna Lindquist and May - Britt Ryber with 24 points, in third position Anna Thijs-Leenards and her husband Johannes with 22, tying for 4th and 5th place Loulou Krulder Timotheus Timmerman Billy Hoglund and Anders Lindqüist with 21 points.

The rest up to the 11th and 12th positions were resolved by sudden death, the classification and photos can be seen in Clapphouse.

Among the prizes awarded were two tickets for Saturday and Sunday during the Solheim at Finca Cortesin, and the raffle of commemorative gifts of the event donated by our Ambassador Rosaleen 

Once again, the "Semana Grande" of the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina was held from August 15 to 21.

This week, full of golf tournaments, provides a great summer meeting point for all the members and friends of the Club.

In this edition, the records of participation were beaten, with respect to previous editions, with 820 players participating, from the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina we would like to emphasize that all the members who wished to participate have played, allowing space for some members' guests as well.

This year we have welcomed new sponsors, who have replaced previous years, and have certainly lived up to expectations.

- Wilson has been the sponsor of Monday's competition, with 178 entries and has contributed in making the Team Tournament edition of the tournament shine.

- Grupo Estévez and Pedro Nieto for Tuesday's Scramble, which gathered 188 players, who enjoyed the excellence of Iberian products and La Guita manzanilla.

- UPS Elevadores, which celebrated its tenth anniversary, and which gathered 122 participants from 10 to 80 years old.

- The Delicias Gourmet group, which "delighted" the participants of Thursday's event, matching the registration of Tuesday's tournament with 188 participants.

The team championship brought together 36 teams who enjoyed the magnificent state in which the South course of Guadalmina was presented.

At the end of the awards ceremony, the members and their friends enjoyed a pleasant evening.

CROQUET TOURNAMENT RCG GUADALMINA

Ana Cardenal and José María Alonso-Gamo were the winners of the inaugural tournament at Real Club de Golf Guadalmina.

Held on the 26th, 27th and 28th of August, this I Croquet Trophy of the RCG Guadalmina, sponsored by Bodegas ALVEAR , VASARI oil Co. and MI sl,, counted with the participation of 32 players and served as a competitive baptism to a course affiliated to the FEC in February 2021 when it became the twenty-second affiliated club in Spain and the eleventh in Andalusia.

From the FEC we would like to wish RCG Guadalmina every success in this new project in which it will not only have all our support, but also that of all croquet fans in our country.

Friends of Guadalmina

Dear Members:

Within our plan of continuous improvement of the Club facilities, we inform you of several actions that we will carry out in the coming days as we believe it is necessary that members know in advance

We would like take this opportunity to apologize for the inconvenience that may cause in the daily activity.

• The first of these actions, which we have already started, is the complete cleaning of the club, carried out industrially by a specialized company in the sector, with the aim of recovering the appearance, or even improving it, that we had before the damage caused by the “Calima” storms suffered by the whole area last March. The work began on the 11th May and will continue until it is completely finished.

• The second action will be carried out from the 23rd of May and we estimate that it will be finished around the 27th of May, consists of the painting of the Club House which on this occasion the color chosen will be completely white.

• The third action will be the decoration of the members' terrace, by placing ornamental plants, which we estimate will be in place between the 20th and 25th of May.

• The fourth has already been completed, but it is important that you all know about it, and it has been the installation of acoustic panels in the restaurant on the upper floor in order to improve the noise level and make the members' dining room more comfortable.

 
We hope that these new improvements will satisfy  our Members and we will continue with the further improvements which we consider are necessary to make our Club the best it can be.
