Dear Members

Following an extensive review of the reservation system by the Board of Directors various problems for the members have been identified and a decision has been taken to find a solution. 

These changes are being done to improve the booking experience of members on a temporary basis while we await the installation of the new reservation system.

The two main problems that have been identified are:

- Reservations are made that are frequently not used - these reservations appear in the name of a member plus several guests

- Unjustified no-shows, often without prior notice

The following will be implemented on May 3rd to assist in solving these two problems:

1.- Reservations will open 3 days in advance (instead of one week)

2.- The reservation procedure is the same as the current one

3.- Reservations will be cancelled automatically by 10:00p.m. the day of the booking if the “guest” has not been replaced by the member who is going to use the reservation or the name of a genuine guest

4.- Changes can be made easily through the reservation system up to 10:00p.m the day the reservation is made.  Or alternatively through the Caddy Master cadymaster@guadalminagolf.com  or a written note

5.- Any genuine guest names must be confirmed to the Caddy Master since the current system does not allow you to change it

6.- Reservations may be cancelled by the member without penalty up to 12:00 noon one day before the date of play

7.- Any no-show without justification and without notice to the Caddy Master will carry a sanction as established in the regulations which will be published on the Website

Within our facilities improvement program, we have completed the construction of the toilet in the Driving Range, completely renovated, we have taken the opportunity with the construction of an small wall to improve security.

We have also improved the waterproofing and painted the entire area

I am pleased to inform you, that the Board of Directors has unanimously decided to appoint our colleague Mrs. ROSALEEN CUNNINGHAM as THE SOLHEIM CUP AMBASSADOR representing REAL CLUB DE GOLF GUADALMINA

This appointment takes place, considering the requirements requested by The Organization, of this important event.

The Board of Directors has also considered determining factors, MS. CUNNINGHAM´S human qualities, which in our opinion, make her the most suitable person to represent our Club.

The appointment is for the entire period that this celebration lasts and until the Organization terminates it.

• DECEMBER 30TH  WEDNESDAY “ DAY OF THE STAFF ” , Club Storage Room, Caddy master and Administration will close at 13.00 to play “ OPEN DEL CURRANTE” in the North Course.

ELECTION OF A NEW CLUB PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS.

According to the Electoral Rules, Internal Regulations and Club’s Articles of Association and after the resignation of practically the entire Board of Directors, I have decided to call an for an Extraordinary General Meeting for Elections (“EGME”), to elect a new President and Board of Directors for the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, to be held next March 8th 2021.

The first step in the Club’s election process is to ask for volunteers to sit as Election Officers on the Electoral Committee.

Of those people who volunteer three people will be chosen by a draw to act as Election Officers and three more as substitutes. Volunteers need to be Numbered Club Members, up to date with the payment of their fees, and should agree to be available most of the time during the election process. Volunteers are not allowed to be part of any candidature in these elections.

The duties of the Electoral Committee are explained in the Electoral Rules, approved in the past General Meeting held on November 19th ,2014 available at the Member´s area of our web site.

Members wishing to volunteer to serve as Election Officers should sign a form, which will be available in the Club’s Offices,. where they can make their intentions known, by signing the form and returning it to the said Office, addressed to the Secretary of the Board Mr. Ignacio Infante, before 11 am on Monday the 21st of December 2020.

The selection of the three Election Officers and three substitutes will be done by draw before the designated Notary, at 12 pm on December 22nd 2020. All Club Members are welcome to attend the draw.
