Great success in the National Spanish Championship Under-14, Under-12, Under-10
This year the Royal Spanish Golf Federation has chosen 3 great courses to celebrate the National Spanish Championship Sub-14, Sub-12, Sub-10. Three of the most beautiful and most difficult courses in the country, and where several Opens of Spain have been celebrated: El Escorpión I and II and El Saler in Valencia.
From Guadalmina we went in force: 15 children of the club managed to qualify for this rendez-vous of the best players in Spain. More than ever, more than most clubs and more than some entire autonomies such as the Canary Islands and Navarre.
The big team along with different tee times from morning to afternoon in 3 different courses separated by some 40 km also represented a considerable challenge in organization and logistics.
We thank our Director of the Golf School, Castor Gomez for the organization and the Pro in charge of the trip, Salvador Ruiz, for their dedication in the early hours of the morning to get players out of bed, take them to the course, accompany them during the day, encourage them when necessary, give them dinner at night and make sure they rest when needed. 5 days of stress and always keeping calm and smiling. Great job!!!
Also important was the support of the parents present bring the children from and to the courses at their starting times when the bus was already going to the other site. A pleasure and a great team altogether.
And the results came with the effort. Congratulations to:
Alexander Amey: Champion of Spain Under-10 2015
Evelina Staníková: Runner-up Champion of Spain Under-12 2015
And to Lukas Pany and Alejandra Sanchez de la Fuente to achieve place among the Top 10 in Spain in their categories. And to all of them for their dedication and hard work throughout the year to measure up to the best in Spain:
Samuel Rodriguez, Romi Manzari, Alberto Sanchez de la Fuente playing Benjamín category (U-10), Alejandro Chacon, Baily Tucker, Matthew Ruiz, Marc Waller, Pablo Hidalgo, playing in Alevín category (U-12) and David Waller and Alvaro Mueller-Baumgart, playing Infantil category (U-14).
Finally, I would like to congratulate the children for their behavior during the championship and trip. Inpsite of the pressure, the inevitable lip-outs and bad bounces that accompany this sport, they (almost) always kept their smiles and never threw in the towel. It has been an intense, fun week, full of frustrations and happiness. An unforgettable experience for the 15 kids. We hope you can share it a little bit through the attached fotos and we give:
Big thanks to the whole Club for making this possible!
Best regards,
Marc Mueller-Baumgart
